    I'll be going to New York on wednsday,

    does anyone know a store downtown ny that would carry the Sager 5760/Clevo M750U etc etc?

    yes you got 2 good Clevo Resellers in NY:

    PC Torque
    Manhasset, NY

    Hypersonic-PC
    Great Neck, NY

    You should contact them to see if you can come in person, most custom notebook sellers dont have a store-front for you to check out their products like a retail store.
