I am a current Dell m90 user and just found out about the 5760.

I wanted to see how these screens match up. The Sagers do come with LG screens which is a definite plus.

Have you guys did a comparison of the screens?

I especially like my m90 semi glossy matte screen but am looking to maybe get a 5760.

I've used the WUXGA screen on the Sager and on the Dell - I can't recall there being any real differences between the two. Both were beautiful.

If you're looking to get an NP5760, you should wait until June or so and get a Clevo M570RU:

I don't know if they can deliver on the 8800. All I hear is that it will come with a 8600 which is a definite no go. Once the 8800's come out... I'll have to get that.

My friend, co-worker, and fellow game addict has the Dell, and I have the Clevo. We performed a side-by-side comparison when I first received my Clevo, after which he vowed never to have the two laptops in the same room ever again. Something about delayed sticker shock and heartburn.

Long story short, if you search the forums, you will find that Dell appears to source their high-resolution displays from two or more manufacturers, or at the very least employs much more lenient standards of quality control. Simply put, some folks end up with good displays and the others end up with rather poor displays that suffer from light leakage, lousy continuity, and lower contrast. My friend is unfortunately a member of the latter group.

The display on my Clevo is near-perfect - it suffers only from poor continuity at the lower corners. This affects about 2 cm^2 of nonessential screen real estate, so I'll live. It is in all respects comparable to a mid-grade desktop LCD and superior to most laptop displays, which as a lot tend to be quite lousy compared with desktop displays.

I'm just one data point, but if you search the forum, you'll find an absence of complaints about Clevo screen quality. It appears that they truly take the quality of this vital component seriously.

I can concur with Xevious. I had both the Dell WUXGA and the Sager WUXGA...returned the Dell. The Sager was a better quality screen by far.
