Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to upgrade the 8800GTXm to a better card in the 5793? I would like to buy a new laptop but if I can get another year or so out of my machine I'd rather drop a few hundred to update the GPU instead. Not sure if the mobo only supports the 8800GTXm as the latest and greatest. Thanks.

As far as I know, the best card you can put in is the 280M GTX MXM 2.1 Type III.

^Yea! you can put it in there!

but, will the bios support it? as in, will it recognize the card?(I think NP5793s can only recognize upto 8800m GTX (bios restricted))

    I so hope I'm wrong!lol :D

I purchased mine from Xoticpc when they were 600 bucks off with a 9800 M GTS inside.
