When will there be a refresh of the 5793? The 5794 most likely. I know the 9262 has no consumer forseeable refresh timeline. What about its fellow 17" design

-
The m570tu I'm guessing. That's coming out next month.
Changes would be: Montevina Processor (and any benefits that come with it), addition of HDMI and E-SATA outputs. -
NP5796, 15th July. Stay tuned!
-
Always wondered though, based on numbers, the NP8660 sounds higher in tech than the NP5796. 15" chassis deserve a higher number for some reason? -
This just got me so excited. Is this info reputable or on the scale of the M860TU's "it supports what?!?!?!?" Fiasco...which is actually still in progress
I got about four grand for my grad party and man I cant wait to invest it in a Clevo. Its gonna feel like heaven. Im on an old Inspiron 6000 Pentium M dothan. the sweet is always sweeter when you have alot of sour -

M860TU = NP8660
M570TU = NP579x (definitely not 4...could be 6, we'll have to wait and see)
See the resemblance? -
Man this is going to be one heck of a mid july - beginning of august for me....

Montevina chipset and processor (1066FSB and DDR3/1066 system memory), Intel 5300 WiFi, HDMI and eSATA ports...video cards to be announced.
Ship date...yet to be determined but pre-orders should begin on July 15th.
That you can take to the bank -
Donald, should we expect to see 9800m gtx as an option of 5796 on 15th?
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
We certainly hope to, and expect to...but the card situation is a little funky right now, so let's wait and see. Fortunately it is only a few weeks...
-
-
LOL we are not hoping 9800m gtx will be supported, but hopeing it will be delivered on time.
-
Sorry I kind of messed that statement up. I was referring to the ongoing thread about the 860TU. Seems as if its still up in the air as to whether it will support it at all.
Didnt know it was a sure thing the refresh of the 5793 would -
shoelace_510 8700M GT inside... ^-^;
-
-
Would it ship to me before august 4th, since I am leaving US for a while then. With expedited shipping at least??
-
Since I don't game and don't want to throw money on a high end card I'm interested in something like a 9600M GT or 9800M GTS. Are those to be expected in the 8660?
-
Wow I want to ship my lappy back for a refund now and wait for the 1066FSB and possibility of a 9800GTX! Buyers remorse... daah!
-
emik09, you got a great laptop man, Don't regret it.
A few weeks to go hopefully. -
-
yea im torn right now.. wait for the new clevo.. or do the m15x thing or take the killer deal i have right now on a 1730 dual 8800 system... what to do..
-
damn.. guess every1's in two minds now...
-
but don't make the mistake of buying a m15x. -
Im also thinking about whether getting a 860TU or a low end internet NB + PS3 + 24" LCD.
-
toshiba x305 for me!
-
Please don't tell me how your trip was with Peter Pan when you come back.
-
i like the x305 also.. just not sure when it will be out and i wonder what pricing will be like on it.. if i knew a bit more id prob be waiting for it ive always liked toshiba's
-
oh wait the x305 is only a single 9800?? hmm ill bet its going to overpriced then
-
Even I'm pondering over that
sans the LCD ...
PS3 only 400 $.. + may be 200$ for accessories.. and another 600-700$ NB..
-
-
In EU PS3 + LCD ≈ 700, + 400 NB. I hope i can get a 400$ PS3 in EU. -
I was originally going to buy a M15x, even after i bought the sager i had thoughts about it but.. the idea of having CPU temps hit 60 and GPU up to 90 which is "normal" for the m15x i figured that thing would be pretty fragile and be worn out a lot quicker than the 5793. Especially since it will be moving around alot.
-
Funny you mentioning the PS3...it seems I can find the old (better) 60GB PS3 at around 1000$ in some anonymous shop. Idiots...
The normal one is around 500-600$ here...
To keep a 15" note...I was thinking about the M15x, then converted the Euros into RON and just gave up on the idea (+ reading about all the horror stories people were put through). I can't afford wasting time with a machine that's great, but might break down often (as I live far away from Ireland or wherever they fix them and they might even refuse to collect & return it where I live). And I think you should all think about the difference between the M15x and the 5793 before comparing the smaller apple with the bigger apple.
I'm very much interested in the new Clevo line (especially the 15" model) and finally we'll all see what's what when they're reviewed.
