Does anyone know the release date? These have been out over sea's for awhile and I am interested in getting one. SLI and dual core will really scream.

Is there any ETA for the mother board release? (Since they use the same chasis)

Sager does not have an ETA at this time, but it will come shortly. If you would like to email me at [email protected] I will notify you as soon as they become available.

The Sager NP5950 is in stock and ready to build. I try not to discuss individual customer's shipping dates on the forum as it is not helpful to the community. For this information please eamil me.

I am not sure what you are asking about an upgrade system...could you please clarify your question?

I believe he is referring to some type of "upgrade system" that powernotebooks has at a reduced price?

I really am not sure. Do you know the exact date for these X2 systems Paladin?

Sager usually announces their upgrade programs, if they are going to have one, within a month or so after a new release.

There is no such thing as an "exact date" in this business...just look around at all the supposed "release dates" that are almost never met. :(

Do you know if anyone has an estimate? I have heard a few different ones, some even saying next week. I am really just trying to get an estimate week wise. Like "3 weeks from now" or something similar.

I know that Clevo just released a duel hard drive version of the 5950. I am actually suprised that sager hasnt picked it up yet. Alienware is now offering it in thier "malx" series.

I will continue to wait for the duel core however. I refuse to pay for a whole new motherboard and I KNOW I will make good use of a duel core processor. (Not to mention its the exact same price and that AMD is making price cuts on the 24th)

Its already out just not in the states... I dont see it on Clevos site either.

Clevo isn't that good at updating their site . . funny that it still lists my model, the M560A, as "NEW".

Estimates are a waste of time in this business. I can say next week or 3 weeks and it won't really matter...they will show up when they do.

I wish I had a better answer, but that is the reality of the laptop business :)

For me school starts the third week of august. Would you say my chances of one being available before that time are "good" paladin?

Blue_Sphere, I am afraid that would be a crystal ball call and I am not really very good at those.

From what I am hearing it would not surprise me to see them shipping by then, but at this point it is nothing that I could guarantee.

At this point just remember that hope for things unseen is called faith, and that is what we need now.

do you offer any type of upgrade or trade in service, such that if we were to purchase a 5950, we could trade it back in when the x2 model comes out for a reasonable fee?

It is pretty rare for anyone to offer a trade in policy because what do we do with what you want to trade in?

We only sell new laptops, so we do not have a way to sell your used laptop.
