Did a clean install of Windows 8.1 . Everything installed fine but for some reason the touchpad drivers are not working. I went to the Sager web site and downloaded the latest one for windows 8.1 . The funny thing when you go to the mouse properties, usually you will see a synaptics touchpad panel at the top, mine is missing. When I do install the drivers everything says it installed correctly. I also went and tried to install the drivers located on the Synaptics web site but they fail to install. Anyone seen this issues before? Just trying to get the 2 finger scrolling feature to work. I know it all worked fine in Windows 8.

    Thanks

have you tried the hotkey shortcut just in case.

Fn + F1 which turns the keypad on and off.

Sure have, the keypad works, I just don't see the actual extra function that u see on the mouse tab. Specifically the 2 finger scroll feature.

Hey guys I got it working. Use the drivers for windows 8.0 It will work fine. I knew something worked when I saw the software ask for a reboot once it got done installing. So guys there is something wrong with the 8.1 drivers that Sager has listed.

Yeah, we've even seen one incident recently where a Windows 7 driver worked over the Windows 8 and 8.1 driver, despite the OS being 8.1. The drivers from Synaptics are general drivers, so most tend to get the incompatibility notification when trying to install from one of their downloads.

Nice job in experimenting! Glad you have it working in full now. :)
