    Whats your budget?

Have you looked at the Toshiba x305 and Gateway P7811 FX?

he might not be needing a high-end gaming system.

the config looks fine.... you should consider 320GB 5400rpm drives over the 200GB 7200rpm drives... because they actually perform the same and give you less heat with more storage.

It has been proven that the new generation of 5400rpm drives (320GB and up) have such a high density that their seek times are about the same as the previous generation 7200rpm drives (200GB and below).

So if you are looking at sub-200GB 7200rpm drives, really consider the larger 5400rpm drives... to get more for your money.

That said, the "bang for the buck" HDD at the moment are 320GB 5400rpm drives... for both price and performance.
    :)

well I pulled the trigger and got it with the 320 gb hd lets see how this thing works, and yes I'm not really looking for a gaming computer, just a solid high performance one for school that can still play most games, but it looks like any dedicated card is good enough for me. hell, I was even thinking of getting integrated graphics but settled with the 9300 cause it's a good value.

Trust me, you made a good choice. Always pick a dedicated card, even if its a low end one, over integrated graphics. Your DVD watching and encoding will thank you.
