Hi all, does anyone have any idea what's going on with my laptop? Upon a full shut down, the side LED indicator lights still remain on even when the AC adaptor is not plugged in. They simply remain orange-lit. This did not happen in the past.

Now after it is totally shut down, if I were to plug the AC adaptor into the laptop, but leave the other end unplugged ie. not connected to the wall mains, the blue power light on the adaptor lights up, indicating that there must be some backflow of current from the laptop which passes through the adaptor.

I have tried removing the battery and holding down the power button for 10 seconds but no go.

Could anyone lend a hand here?

    Thanks! :)

thats a new one on me.
if you can find it i would open the base and remove the cmos battery for a minute. do as above though first. remove mains and battery and hold power button down for 20 seconds and then remove the base.

would also shoot a email off to support just in case this has been noted before with that model.

After fiddling with it a bit and doing the power button hold down trick again it seems to have sorted itself out. Will keep a look out on it :)
