The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    So i would like to use XBMC from my laptop and use a remote

    i have tried 2 remotes with eventghost and i have been wasting hours

    eventghost does not seem to like to record any actions from the remote but some normal actions do work like volume and ok

    I want to program actions in eventghost to use with XBMC like i use with my other HTPC which has no issues with this (even tested on another win7 box with same remote and eventghost)

    It seems the internal "ITECIR Infrared Receiver" causing the issue??
