I can't speak for Warhead, but my 8662 can play Crysis at all High settings with no AA at 1680x1050 res.

well warhead is a better optimized crytek2 engine so i would assume that if Rondo could get it to run on all high with a p8600 then warhead should run fine on highest settings on a p8700 with some shuttering.

I run crysis Warhead (No AA or Vsync) on my NP8662, XP SP3, 3GB RAM and a 2.0 Ghz Q9000 with the GTX 260M on mostly Mainstream settings mixed with Gamer settings, 1680 X 1050 resolution and at 60 fps, some areas drop to 40-45 fps, others 55 fps. Optimal settings probably set everything on Gamer but I haven't tried that yet. I also haven't done any tweaking at all so I am sure I can get better performance out of it.

From my Rivatuner in game OSD, I can see that all 4 cores are being used anywhere from 54%, 34% each etc but I haven't played for long or very far into game other than just for a quick test. Your 2.53 Ghz Core2Duo will be fine.

good to know, thanks for the info.

That gives me a pretty good idea that if it will run it like that, i should have NO problems with games like COD 4, Unreal Tourney 3 then.

COD4 and UT3 can be maxed out with ease.

I run COD 4 at 1680 X 1050 res, 2X AA, most settings normal, shadows on as well as most other features on and I get about 82 fps, 45 fps some areas, 60 fps others but there is no lag and it looks great. Even in the first level with all of the rain, gun shots, helicopter etc, it was running at 60 fps. I could surely max the settings even more if I wanted to.

As you can imagine, I am very happy with the Q9000 because I get no problems with any games due to the GTX 260M but I can also run GTA IV at an average of 40 fps which is great!. The very poorly optimised Saints Row 2 runs well too.
