I have been using the touchpad driver that came with the CD but I accidentally deleted the driver last night. I thought the driver was Fingerprint reader.

So I downloaded a new driver from Sager website and now it's a completely different driver and it won't let me disable the touchpad when a mouse is connected via USB port. Help please?

Here is a registry file to enable the auto disable feature on any synaptics driver.

    Auto disable touchpad Synaptics

Run that file (merge it with your registry) and then I think you'll need to reboot, then the check box will appear under the "Device Settings" tab on mouse properties :)

The 8690/8760 uses the Sentelic touchpad, there would be no synaptic driver installed. Does this work anyway?

I have an 8760. Go to your taskbar and right click the "finger sensing pad" program. Under the "Finger Sensing Pad" tab, click on "Configure." It will open a window. In the left column open the "enable/disable pad" menu and set accordingly.
