    Hey,

I just ordered a 8690 and was wondering if there is any stuff I should know about when first setting it up compared to any other laptop? Any drivers I should update, etc?

I can't wait for it to come. It's going to feel like ages. LOL

    Thanks
    Shawn Stevenson

    Hi Shawn
the cd that comes with it should have the latest drivers on it but just in case i would always recommend updating the graphics card drivers.

what spec have you gone for.

the wait is a killer but it will be worth it in the end.

Yea which drivers should be updated versus what Windows7 automatically installed? Do we need to change any settings in the BIOS?

I setup I went with is more standard compared to some but still more then I could ever need for now.

Here is the setup I ordered:

    - i7 720 Processor
    - Full HD 1920x1080
    - Windows 7 Home Premium (The higher up models I had no use for)
    - 4GB of RAM
    - 320GB 7200RPM
    - Standard Optical Drive

    That's about it for now.
