    Hi all,

I just unboxed a Sager 8690, started it up, and I'm hearing some intermittent 'hissing' noise coming through the upper-left speaker. It almost sounds electronic, but if I hold my finger over the speaker, it seems to mute (mostly). It doesn't appear to be the speaker itself: I disabled the speakers in the sound control panel just to test, and the noise remained.

Then again, generating a system sound causes it to stop instantly. It starts back up on its own a few seconds thereafter.

    Any ideas?

    Matt
