    Hi all,

    Looking to maybe do a video card upgrade if it's possible.

    Bought this early 2010 so I'm thinking it has the older usb?

    What are my upgrade options?

    I currently have the GTX280M.. below are specs, copied from invoice.

    If you have the 280 card, you will likely want to stay with that. I believe that model can upgrade to the 285, but the increase in performance will not be worth the upgrade in the cost. The 8690 machines with the newest motherboard revision (generally you can quickly tell by if it has the USB 3.0 or not, which is easy to tell since the USB 3.0 ports are blue) can take the 460 and 470 cards, but you would be running into that same cost for performance problem there as well. You can check with your reseller (usually they will need the serial number) if you are curious on the cost, but it is likely you have one of the better setups now.
