    Hi

I am planning to purchase the Sager 9150 with GTX 675M , Diamond Compound and Core i7.

Does this laptop get very hot?

Can you comment on the performance of GTX 675M

    Thanks

I would highly recommend reading through the owner's lounge for the np9150. I almost guarantee that it will answer any questions you have.

This should give you a good idea of the 675's performance, but I think most people (including myself) would recommend getting the 7970m.

Generally speaking, the laptop runs pretty cool, but again, read the owner's lounge and awakeN's review for more information.

    Enjoy!

Ah yes, the machine runs sufficiently cool and I would highly recommend the 7970M over the 675M unless you've got your own needs to go for the less muscular 675M ;)

In powernotebooks site, for Sager 9150, the AMD 7950M costs 100$ more. I configured the laptop for 1512$ which includes Diamond Paste upgrade, intel advanced 6235 Wireless, Windows 7 Home Premium and GPU upgrade. If i add 7950M, the cost will go to 1600+ which is way above my budget of less than 1500

Don't eat for a week. The 7970 is a tremendous improvement over the 675.

HAHA! Although what smokinokie is saying is true, I can't recommend not eating for a week. :p

Purchase within your budget. (my 2 cents)

Are you sure you can throw in another $100 for a 50% increase in performance?

Thanks so much for your replies. One more question i had is that people are complaining about the lack of sound coming from the headphone jack in this Laptop. I listen to lot of music on my headphones and this would be a huge dealbreaker for me, though i am surprised, i get fantastic output from my 2 year old HP dv6t laptop

Lack of sound, or not loud enough for their tastes? Lack of sound would indicate a problem that your reseller would help you address - they're not going to sell you a laptop with a non-working headphone jack and just leave you stuck with it. If it's not enough loudness, that's another issue, which could be addressed with amplified headphones if nothing else.

Yeah, i guess whenever people are trying to make an expensive purchase, they get jittery about every small thing, the THX Sound Card should be good enough
