This laptop is about to turn 5. Today I was playing far cry primal and the screen went black. CTRL ALT Delete didn't do anything.

Did hard reset and the screen went black as soon as windows was about to boot.

Rebooted into safe mode and disabled the 7970m so it was only running on the intel graphics. This let me load windows.

Tried 2 system restore points from today and last month.

Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, sweeping and reinstalling drivers but every time the 7970m is initialized I get a black screen.

I think 5 years of 90C fried it. Wondering if baking it would be an option.
