I guys i have clevo 9261. I am having problem with the DVD drive. It is not coming up as a device and it will not even show up when i enable the dagnostic in the bios. I put in a CD to reinstall Windows Vista. Nothing. it does not show. They tray opens up there is power to it. It does spin the CD. It will not show up under windows 7. Could be that the dvd drive has gone bad. Need to replace it i bought and it was shipped out on 12/18/2007 by Xotic. So i have this laptop for a while What do you guys recommend. Is there a manual on how to take it apart. I feel like the warranty is out on it or it is 2 year warranty

If i move the laser lens all the way back instead of being close to middle were CD is place it got recognize. Is there something that might be causing this problem. I know it dissappear on me in windows 7 so that's why i am going to reinstall windows vista. Please advice

the sager 9261 (clevo D901C) as standard only has 1 year warranty, unless you specifically buy an extended one. If you want a new DVD drive, they aren't very expensive, either ask xoticPC, or get one somewhere else (xotic will definitely get you one witht the right faceplate though)
