A big newb question but w/e...can anyone who owns a sager 9261 tell me how the fans at the bottom of the notebook work? I primarily want to know if there is any movement of air under the notebook and if yes, in what direction it is.
(Wanted to get an iXoft pad but it wont work if the fans actually move the air underneath :p)

They suck. :D The air is sucked from underneath and it goes out the back of the notebook. Is that what you are looking for?

Considering that...yeah...gonna see if I even need a cooler after I get the actual comp...might get a simple elevating one.
Hm...if air is sucked in at the bottom...wont that take in a load of dust...? =)

It will get dusty. IMO if you keep the fans clean (and your desktop) then you don't need a notebook cooler with the D901C. It is one of the coolest running laptops there is. If you OC the video or don't always keep the fans clean then yes, I would look at getting the new Zalman ZM-NC-2000 units.

I was going to get a cooler but you really don't need one for this model. It has 4 fans and 4 vents. It only gets warm at the top right hand corner (I have 2x7950GTX's). If that happens when gaming I turn fans on full blast for a few mins which deals with the problem. It has a great thermal dissipation design.
