Hey Guys,
Anyone here have experience so far carrying the 9262 around?
I am planning on buying one soon but will be carrying it around every day to class.
I am leaning towards the 9262 because of the superior gaming performance, quad core, low noise amounts, and build quality. That being said, anyone here lug theirs around alot and have comments?
I am planning on getting the Targus that this will fit in...
Thanks.

As long as you have a backpack you are good to go.
The Targus XL is a nice one, I use it. I don't walk around as much as you would on a campus but it is comfortable.
Check out this thread.

Thanks Aryantes.
For the record, its probably your review that tipped the scales onto Sager for me. I had thought of going to Dell or Asus but don't think I can now...
Anyone else had any experience with moving the 9262 around frequently? -
I'm glad more people are finding out about Sager/Clevo. -
Dude, if you have the strenght for it, the Targus XL will be enough . Be advised that carrying it too much can get your hands numb

Wouldn't take the 9262 to class... planning on getting an np5793 for portability/battery life (I believe the 9262 lasts about an hour on battery).

Aren`t there power outlets in your school/college?
Mine has them even on the corridors -
Well....I wouldn't want to be lugging around ~14 pounds of stuff to school everyday
. I'm actually not sure if U of I has power plugs in the bigger lecture halls, but I saw in the lecture rooms that they have power,so it won't be as big of a problem.
After what you have done to ensure better fan control, I will have no worries when I finally get my sager -
You may have to check the actual dimension to make sure the sager fits, but since I have started buying 17" notebooks, I have used notebook bags with rollers (currently a backpack one from pacific design). No more hurting shoulders - the weight of the laptop is not an issue any more.

I travel with my 9750 (About the same size and weight of the 9262) every week.
If you are going to carry this often get a backpack! You will want to use both straps and not just one strap on a shoulder. This laptop gets very heavy very fast. With a comfortable backpack it is not too bad to carry around on your back.
Don't expect to use it much while it is unplugged. About an hours worth of use on battery.
Get the accidental damage warranty. All it takes is 1 good drop to destroy your LCD. -
i have the targus xl backpack and i use the lappy more as a desktop replacement that i could bring back and forth to lans and friends houses. it fits the lappy, all drivers and disks, the power adapters, a mouse, mousepad, headset, keyboard, gaming controller with much much room for more. its heavy tho with all that stuff in there. i would imagine more for you if your carrying books. this is deff not the most transportable laptop but it is an awsome lappy at that
i have the accidental damage on my screen too, deff worth it, 2 years of coverage and battery life does suck, majorly, even for just browsing the internet it only lasts about an hour, gaming, probly 10 min -
Thanks for all the input guys...
Here's the thing, I am an avid gamer and will be going back and forth from work to grad school at night. Since I will be away from home alot, just getting a gaming desktop + cheap lappy isn't really an option for me because I won't be home enough to use it.
Therefore, I need a lappy that can handle some serious gaming. Since my current desktop is older than Barbara Streisand, that makes whatever I get be the only real computer I have. I will have a bunch of pics and videos of my kids and stuff as well as games so I need alot of HD space [pref. 500gb] in whatever laptop I get.
Also, while I can spend ~$3000 right now, the computer that money buys needs to last a good 2-4 years before I'll be able to justify to my wife another expense. Hopefully by that time my pay will have increased enough so she won't care cause she'll be in a Lexus SUV.
Anyway, sorry for the rant but those are the reasons why I am thinking about lugging a 9262 around every day to class.
BTW, I currently have a Acer 9500 which is 2 years old and starting to die on me. Its a 17 inch and around 8 pounds and got me through my last year of undergrad so I am not totally clueless about taking a larger laptop to class.
Any other thoughts or anything I am missing now that you guys know the story? -
The 9262 will be your best friend if you want it to last that much.
Or if you plan to get another one in 2 year, might I suggest the 5793, better battery management,lighter(~9 pounds with power brick) and enought power for gaming and work.(1 88MGTX is more than enough right now)
