When I turn the brightness up using the FN+f9 key once I get it bright enough to read the screen well it starts to get have a shimmering/flickering issue. Kind of like what an old CRT's would do if the refreash rate was set too low. Anyone else seen this kind of problem with their 9262? I have the 1920x1200 screen.
thanks!

Which Reseller did you purchase this laptop from. IMO you should contact them ASAP. Dont try and fix this yourself. LCD's are delicate and most likely your warranty will cover it. Unless you of course...Dropped it

this I think might be a known issue with this model. as I have read scores of people having the same issue

I got it from XoticPC and I've had it a little over a week. I just noticed that it only does it at the second from the highest setting when turning up the brightness with the FN+f9 keys. I'll contact XoticPC.

is it like a white flickering that happens throughout the whole sscreen? ive been getting a similar issue on my 9260. The screen flickers with bands of white/white gray that is very apparent when i put a black background on. goes away after a while.. maybe we have the same issue here too

trance had this and had to send it away. as well as a few others.
it's in the archives. -
same here... wenever theres a screen of black open somewhere, horizonatally across the screen bands of diff color pixelated lines appear... its so annoying... im so lazy to send it out tho i must.
im almost positive its the LCD cable being pinched... as ive already reseated everyting and replaced the inverter...
to check, when it happens again, agitate the bottom left hinge of the screen. Its where all the wires converge and go into the mobo and such. and by agitate, i just mean push on it a bit, as as well as the bottom left area of the LCD faceplate just before where the wires go in, its softer there to move. usually the lines go away for like 10 minutes... not a fix but.... until u send it out.
