Hello community of the NR site!

I have a bit of a problem, I own Sager 9370, today I decided to do a clean install of the latest ubunty OS as my main OS, problem is my laptop for some reason does not see my bootable USB! I have no clue how to fix this, I tried updating USB3 drivers, I tried to use USB2 port, nothing seems to work. Any ideas how I can make this lappy see my usb? I'm really confused here.

Thanks in advance any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you rebooting or trying to install from desktop? I believe you need to reboot. But before you do that go into your bios and make computer check USB ports for boot first. Your ODD or ssd/HDD is probably booting first now.

I was rebooting it, tried manually selecting usb, tried to set usb as a main bootable source in bios, nothing seems to work, sadly my system does not recognise bootable usb flash drive :( Maybe I need to update my bious, tho it isn't that old, not even sure it's not the latest version.

Did you make sure Ubuntu is the only thing on the drive? Also highly recommend using a sandisk thumb drive. Not recommending the brand to recommend a brand but sandisk has been the fix in situations like these for me. High compatibility and reliable. Fixed a similar issue in my Honda civic because it wouldn't recognize any other drive. Their SD cards have been a lot more reliable and recognized in my phones. Worth a shot. Oh and did you make sure to save boot USB drive? Some peeps forget to save changes when exiting.

Yes,Ubuntu is the only thing on the scandisc usb stick, thank you for the tip, saving before taking it out of the usb helped, I am actually able to see the usb now, however even though I set usb scandisc as my 1st bootable option in bios, for some reason it boots me straight to windows :\

You might want to call sager then and see if you need a new bios. I am not 100% sure on this but I would think updating your drivers wouldn't help you. Wouldn't bios use generic drivers or something since the OS isn't loaded up yet? Might need an updated bios. But you need sager for that.

This, if it hasn't already been attempted. :) UEFI can be disabled in the Boot tab within the BIOS setup.
