Hey guys ive been having an issue with my backlit keyboard on my 9380-s for the past week all of a sudden. My keyboard used to come on when i opened the lid automatically and now its not. They FN keys that control the backlighting no longer work, except the key that opens up the software to customize the colors. If i restart the computer my keyboard just turns blue while it boots then shuts off completely. The only way to get the keyboard to light back up is to open up the software, which then changes to the colors i set it too. The on/off button just turns it off, and wont turn it back on and the brightness key also turns it off. Its kind of a pain to keep constantly going into the software to get my keyboard to turn on. Does anyone know what the issue is? Everything worked fine up until about a week ago. I tried reinstalling the hotkey driver a few times and that does nothing to fix it. Thanks

Have you made any recent software changes like Windows updates or messed around with msconfig and accidentally turned off the auto start.
You can also check Sagers site for any newer drivers which could fix your issue Software Upgrade.

Something is blocking the hotkey control software, as those are simular to the symptoms of when it isn't running. Maybe it doesn't have admin rights? What changed a week ago? Can you do a system retore to before that?

My windows installs important update automatically. No i havent messed around with the msconfig, it says its enabled in there. I tried reinstalling the driver about 30 times now. Tried removing it completely, and reinstalling it. Tried repairing it. Tried removing it completely, deleting the folder and then installing it again. Im pretty much getting different results each time.

Its either just turning my keyboard completely blue and non of the hotkeys work after the restart. Cant even get the program to launch. If i go into the LED program in the hotkey folder its giving me a error message.

Or its i just get a completely dark keyboard and non of the hotkeys work after restarting.

Or its working completely fine for about a minute or two then decides to stop working, and im back to my orginal problem i posted.

I think i have tried just about everything i can possible guess at this time. Ive been at this for about an hour the other day and an hour tonight. Im out of ideas on whats the matter.

Try stopping everything that runs at startup, except for the Sager control software. Also try a system restore. What programs are running in the background? What new hardware have you added externally or internally?
