where can i get a sager 9750 cheapest from a EXTREMELY reliable place? i would hate to buy a notebook thats like ~3000$ and have it go to waste from an unknown seller or such.

p.s. is getting the 3 year warranty for $399 worth it considering Sager builds notebooks that are of high quality?

I have that particular model of notebook ( Clevo D900K). Its a beast of a machine. My videocard did overheat recently, but that happened 6 months in and the warranty replaced it easily.

The best Prices and Service will be from:

    PowerNotebooks.com (Sager 9750)
    Hypersonic-PC.com (Aviator FX7)

They are the same notebooks, but just re-branded. PowerNotebooks has an awesome reputation for service. HyperSonic-PC is also great, but has a slighter better prices for most of the notebooks (about $100-200 cheaper).

The warranty might be useful, but thats only if it fails on you due to defectiveness... a not because you accidently dropped it.

For this notebook... Looks like PowerNotebooks has a better deal overall.

Tell us how your purchase goes,

oh i defianatly heard of powernotebooks, from you too! i was originally gonna get the compal HEL80 but i decided that i needed something to suit me for a long time, and i thought AMD desktop i have is still amazing compared to my p4 desktop from dell, (specs r in signature) and i thoguht AMD is rare on laptops, and i looked at alienware, aopparantly their website doesnt contain anymore AMD non-turion processors that they are selling. I have seen hypersonic but truly they are unknown to me, and if you would know, do they have great customer support?

-p.s. and i heard from powernotebooks.com if i call i can get a better deal, whats better that i can get?

and the video card upgrade for hypersonic seems like a ripoff a little bit? +$485 ???

yea I saw that too, I think they need to be contacted about that... I think it hasnt been updated.

You should really look towards the Sager 5760 or the Hyperson Aviator CX7, you will definitely get more bang for the buck for those models... considering that the Clevo M570U (AKA. Sager 5760 or Aviator CX7) is arguably the best gaming notebook on the market.

And the prices are much better at both PowerNotebooks and HyperSonic PC.

HyperSonic is pretty up-to-par with the other boutique brands, so I wouldnt mind doing business through them.

I would have picked up this notebook, but it didnt exist back in March of this year, oh well, I am still happy with this notebook.. just a kinda heavy at times.

actually to my suprise the core 2 duo was only about 100$ less, and the athlon clock speeds seem to overpower the core 2 duos..

p.s.: is upgrading a core 2 duo going to help me out???? by .13/.26ghz? for $140/$370?

you bought your laptop from powernotebooks.com right?

And portibily isnt an issue really, its mostly a desktop replacement.

And so right now i am leaning twords the AMD one, considering the processers are beasts... and excellent for high def gaming, mainly my luck with intel processors has been junk? and AMD on desktops usually costs less, but it cotsts more on Notebooks, so idk really, im on a cliffhanger.

the Core 2 Duo architecture overall should outperform the AMD K8 architecture. Clock speeds nowadays doesnt make too much of a difference.

I would have gotten a Core (2) Duo if it came out when I was choosing a high-end notebook.

And... I actually built mine. :D
Read my story about doing it.

well i typed in the numbers for your notebook at the pcclub.com and they didnt exist :/ and u know anything on the midwest that might be goodish... like a sotr ethat might supply clevos, and thx for the idea of rjtech, i would save around $300 ~ (not incluiding the option of a 7950GTX)

    yea,
but i think that buying the fully configured notebook from PowerNotebooks or Hypersonic would probably be a better idea in terms of warranty of the labor and parts, as well as the price.

try and do the math thoroughly before attempting to do it youself.

I had to build mine because I couldnt afford to get a whole notebook at once, and resorting to getting the barebones, and then getting the rest of the parts later.

:/ that 7950GTX is so F****** tempting (pardon language) :/, i can assemble desktop computers, they r so easy, ive never tried a laptop... i wish i knew how to :/

and if i purchased from powernotebooks.com i heard you can gte special discounts over the phone, and i was wondering what those possibly might be? btw how long have u had yoour lappy for?

overall the hypersonic is slighty cheaper, but the resellarrating.com is like 7.8, and most of the reviews r either, very happy, or something went totally wrong *shrug*.

if you call Powernotebooks, ask for Donald Stratton, one of the most knowledgeable guys there and in this forum (known as Paladin44)

Hypersonic should be fine as well.

Its up to you in the end.

thx so much for the input, i really found it useful, sadly i cant give u more rep considering i alrdy gave u, lol :). Overall i would think powernotebooks, because of the famous customer service, its just price thats iffy, compared to hypersonic, (xcept for vid card). i wisih powernotebooks gave an option for a 7950GTX, but hey, i found out what i needed, thank you so much! 1 last question, which would you prefer, powernotebooks or hypersonic?
