Hi guys, Im intrested in Buying a clevo D900K (aka Sager 9750) and would like to ask you guys a couple of questions,

I will buy it from RJTech, and im not sure if I should buy the harddrives and all other stuff from them also, whats you opinion on this ?

also, I don't know what kind of ram does it use, I went to newegg and I think its DDR400 Ram or something, but im not exactly sure. Also about the optical drives, does it support All slim optical drives, I saw a slot loading pioneer drive but im also not sure if it fits, And it supports 2 optical drive so do you think that I can get a lightscribe one in the other slot ? is there a slim one that would fit?

And I heared about the Audigy2 ZS card, I would like to purchase one and install it. But I don't know, could you link me to those products, or products that you recommend.

Is it better to buy the barebones with the processor, and buy everything else from another retailer like newegg ? the barebones starts at 1899, and I would like to keep it under 3000, also there's the shipping , it would be 200 because i live in a far country.

Do you think If i bought those things from newegg for example it would be cheaper ?

Im getting the WUXGA Screen, Athlon X2 4800+ Processor, 7900GTX 512Mb as standard equipment, I dont think I could add 2GB ram and two 100GB 7200RPM Drives, and A Slot loading pioneer drive and stay on the budget ?

I don't know i think im babbling, its really late here and I thought i would post since Im a little confused about all this, Im an advanced user really, but not into hardware much.

    Thanks alot.

    A.J.

Let's see . . approximate prices for the components you need:
    -XP Home ~$90
    -Slim DVD Burner ~$70
    -1GB, 200-pin, DDR400 RAM ~$105/stick
    -Augidy 2 ZS PCMCIA ~$90
-80GB 7200RPM SATA HDD ~$120 (not sure what you want here).

You may want to stick with the integrated sound to begin with and add the SB Audigy later, $90 is a lot and you can put it to better use.

What are the main activities you plan to do with the notebook?

Well, mainly for gaming, graphic design, and video editing. And all the other stuff like surfing ...

Well the ram at their website is 120 per stick, and i want to get 2gb it will be 240 and also if i want kingston or corsair its another 20, should i buy the ram from newegg ?

Yea, I think i'll buy the audigy card later, along with another 100gb hdd, the 100gb hdd is 195 at RJTech's website which is a little pricy.

I think i'll buy it with everything except the ram, could you link me to a page with compatible ram.

    thanks for the help Chaz.

    Abadi,

You're doing wut i've done back in March.
Read the post that i made.

I recommend you to just get the optical drive(s) and wi-fi/bluetooth module from RJTech. The rest are stardardized parts. I put in my own CPU (Socket 939), RAM (DDR-400 So-Dimm), Hard Drive (2.5" SATA).

    Enjoy your system.

Don't forget to do the Windows XP Multi Core config for your AMD dual core.
