    Hi All,
First post and possible purchaser of Clevo/Sager product in New Zealand.Been carefully(i Hope) looking for a new desktop notebook.Present one is now
7 years old and still going well.Sager sli and multi hdd 18" display caught my attention.Everything ive read about it seems to be a winner.I have one concern which ive read nothing about.
Would like to know if someone could post a close up pic of the power supply
input connector on the 9850 and the plug on the Power supply. The power supply delivers a fair whack of power(220watts).I want to see the size of contacts used.
Can this unit be used with the power supply plugged in and a very flat battery?.
You may ask why,the reason is that with my present laptop it to was released as a Desktop replacement(it had no battery) which seemed to be good at the time and was touted to be the thing of the future. However this
manufactuer(ECS) failed to provide adequate power supply connections.
Many)( Mean heaps of users) listed melting plugs and destroyed connectors on computers. Some had these replaced more than once.To me it seemd a problem because many people mainly students ect would unpluging the p/s often which i believe caused the connections to weaken and subsequent
problems. This happened to people 18mnths on from purchase. In my case at
7 years ive had no such problem as i never connect and disconnect regulary.
My one is used really like it was designed as a desktop replacement.
So before purchase i would like to see that this would not likely be a problem in the future.Users please be aware of this, unfortunately time will only tell.
Thanks for reading and comments would be appreciated before i press the Buy button.
    Les

The power supply and connectors used are the same as have been used in clevo's D900 series for years, and I have not heard of any issues like this.
