Hello all. I am about to order my first non-bloatwared laptop and have been excited about what I've read in here. I'm looking at going with the 2098 with a P9700 CPU from one of the dealers I've seen represented here.
For those of you who are Sager enthusiasts - and especially those of you who may own one of the 2098s - I am interested in your opinion of Sager's build quality, ruggedness, and ease of maintenance.
Also - do the touchpads have scroll ability, or will I need to pack a mouse with scrollwheel? Thanks!

I've been using my laptop since Feb 2008, and I am very satisfied not only with it's overall appeal and performance, but also of it's build quality. It's sturdy and hasn't failed me once so far.

The touchpad doesn't have a scroll feature, which isn't that big of a deal since you need a mouse for almost everything other than basic web browsing and word processing anyways.

Ummm.... yes it does have the scroll feature....

Sagers do have scroll feature.

This whole thread is false. The NP2098 is a Compal notebook tailored by Sager. Please do not mix up the build quality of Compal and real Clevo/Sager notebooks, despite the fact that Compal and Clevo both build quality machines. All Compal notebooks have touchpad scroll whether it is visible on the the touchpad or not.
