My Bassett Hound lies on my lap and I use him for a laptop table. Lightning struck a tree in the yard during a severe thunderstorm the other night and scared the guy pretty badly. The short story is I will now replace my lcd.

    My question is: Installed is a LG/Phillips LP171WU1 (A4) (K4)
    Can I use a (A4) (K6) series instead?

Also In reading an old post by Audigy, he mentioned an LP171WU5 as a replacement. Is that a better option? And what about those A and K numbers?
What if any is their significance?

    Thanks

I recommend to contact your vendor/reseller first.

They will give you a more accurate run down on possible LCD replacements... and they will answer any your questions as well.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
Sager wasn't much help, they do not sell LCD's outright, and did not answer many of my questions. Someone must know what those suffix numbers are.

    Thanks

    I see.

    Thats a shame.

I recommend to contact www.rjtech.com and www.eurocom.com for parts, they are very reputable vendors that openly sell Clevo parts.
