Hi im new to this site and this is the only site that i am seeing anything to do with Sager/ Clevo laptops. I have A Sager/Clevo D9C/ D901C and when i turn the system on i get no beeps and the screen lights up but there is nothing that shows up...i dont know if maybe the bios got wiped out or what the problem may be. Im trying to eliminate all possibilities before i purchase a new motherboard. Please let me know if there is anything to save this laptop?

    Hi Krimewave, Welcome to NBR!
First thing would suspect is either the motherboard like you mentioned or possibly RAM. For RAM diagnosis try removing all RAM and just having one stick in at a time. There is also a test called memtest86 which is a good diagnosis tool but if there is no image showing up on the screen you wont be able to use it.

Try it with an external monitor to differentiate between the GPU and LCD/cabling. I am not sure if flashing the latest BIOS would make any difference. What KBC/BIOS versions do you have and what are the specs?

No clue on the bios version i got the laptop from a friend of mine all i know is it has a q6600 cpu and um just using a random stick of ram...when i have both gpus in the screen wont light up but when 1 card is in the screen lights up but nothing shows up...it does not have any beep codes or anything...do u think unplugging the cmos battery will do anything? If its motherboard do u think baking it and the gpus will help...also how do i go about baking...is there a specific process to doing it?

Did you try with different combos of RAM as suggested above? Or an external monitor? Let's eliminate some stuff before you start throwing parts in the oven lol

You should get some information and history about the laptop from your friend or from your own investigation: KBC/BIOS version, motherboard version (see sticker beneath the memory modules), VGA cards, type of memory, if it had any problems previously, etc.

You checked the connections at the mobo and at the LCD?

All points sound like a motherboard beyond repair. Cant be sure until its actually checked out but that what i would suspect.
