The batteries are made to drop to 50% of their designed capacity after only 12 months, this information is no _where_ on their site and thus I thought that this should be shared with others of this forum who are thinking about getting a sager/clevo and looking around this part of the forum for information. So yeah, 50% after 12 months, for a "gaming laptop". A laptop that's supposed to be used. 50% under normal usage. Sounds to me like that's something that you'd want to tell people so that they can know that their battery will be worthless in a very small amount of time. I'll also not be reading this thread as it was only posted to let others be informed about this information.

if your going to post that on an open forum then proof please.

my clevo is over 3 years old now and the original battery lasted a year but that was because i had it connected all the time even though 90% of the time i was using mains power.
replaced under warranty and now i remove it when i know im going to be using mains for long periods of time. after 2 years 4 months it still has 98% capacity.
read up on battery care (in sig below) who say to prolong the life its best to remove it when not needed. and thats any laptop battery and not just clevos.

I'm coming up on 3 years, 14% wear on my original battery. Almost always plugged in, I don't treat my battery well :(

    OP is an obvious flamebait.

Batteries are like a lottery. Sometimes they last 2 - 3 years plus. Other times they only last 1 year. This thread is stupid, it was quite well put earlier, the OP is a knob.

I was legitimately surprised to see the topic was made by someone with an account not made within the last 24 hours.

What you're saying is incredibly unbelievable. Post some serious proof that this is a standard issue and not a complete fabrication or not a 1-off case.
