Hi, I wanted to know what type of connecting tip the Sager/Clevo notebooks typically use, a L1, L2, or L3? Specifically asking about the NP8150, I'm scheduled to receive it Wednesday but if anyone has this information today it would be helpful to me. Thank you in advance.

Your machine will come with a power supply, and it's highly recommended not use any third party adapters. Others here have tried some and had pretty mixed results at best. Worst case scenario is that poor quality adapters can't sustain or even provide the right wattage and potentially fry the motherboard. The P150HM especially requires a sustained output of 180w for full load, and around 200w under peak.

Understood. I found a direct replacement (FSP group adapter identical to Sager 180w 9.47V same thing, but $40 less) however it does not come with a tip, only the 4 prong connector. :(

I know that the NP5165 Tip is 5.5mm OUTER with a 2.5mm INNER if that means anything.
