I bought a laptop last year from Xoticpc. I bought an asus many years ago from them as well that was very good. My xoticpc first worked great the first 2 months i recalled. Then after that, my laptop had issues with the battery where it said you need to replace the battery so basically i have to have it plugged in 100 percent of the time no matter what. Thing is i can't just take the battery out and put it back in b/c my sager laptop has a lot of screws and it is very hard to unscrew it to even take the battery out. The other issue is my laptop has sound issues where I believe around the time my battery had these issues, my volume sound on my laptop is incredibly low. Its so low where you can't hear much at all.

I was told by xotic pc i have up till 1 year to send them back my laptop for repair where they would replace the battery and also take a look at the speakers. I tried everything with the speakers with settings and nothing worked. The thing is im outside the usa still so shipping it is not an option as mail where im at is incredibly unreliable. Now if im going to be in the usa for a few weeks, yes that would be very easy since i would then shp it, then probably get it back in 2 weeks.

My question is if I don't send it back to xoticpc for the 1 year warranty since i bought my laptop, does anyone know how much it would cost for me to either send it back to have my battery and speakers looked at? Would i be sending it to xotic pc or sager directly? Or would it be best to go to a computer shop to fix this issue. I'm curious how much it would cost total to have my battery issue looked at and most importantly the volume sound assuming I cannot send it to xoticpc on time due to the 1 year warranty since im outside the usa.

Costs would depend on where you live and the shipping used. Also what model of machine are we talking?

Generally, any time you buy a Sager, you would want to reach out to the reseller if you got it through one. I would say to reach out to our service team and can answer all the questions you have specific to your model. Even if you are outside of the US, you could find out how much it is, and we can try to work something around your schedule if you are going to be here for a couple of weeks possibly.

Has anyone had a sager laptop battery replaced and if so, how much did that cost?

It varies by model. Our service team would be able to get you a price on that if you contact them.

Okay so i had bought a brand new sager battery. I bought it directly from sager as oppose to xoticpc b/c i had thought i would receive it a bit faster. i still had to pay extra for expedited shipping. I have had the new battery for only a few months. I have the same issue with the Red X and the consider replacing your battery.

Even when on battery when it doesn't have that red x etc... my laptop battery does not ever last longer than 40 minutes at the max. Its more like 30 minutes. When i bought this sager laptop brand new, the battery was close to 2 hours. It was 1.5 hrs i believe.

Does this mean the sager battery is already worn out? I only had it for a few months. The other issue is this. This laptop you can't take out the battery easily. So the thing is when im using the laptop and have it fully charged, i would then unplug the charger. Only to put it back when im getting low on battery. Because i know its not good to have the battery fully charged all the time as it makes the battery wear out faster. So many people i read who would be on their laptop, they would take out their battery and plugged into it with the charger. That way it won't wear out the battery at all especially if you only plan to use it on the desk etc. Well this would not be possible since with this sager laptop, you can't take out the battery.

So what im wondering now is... does that mean every single sager battery replacement for my sager np2740 going to have this issue? I know batteries do need to get replaced. But with my laptop, does that mean it has to every few months or something? I'm pretty frustrated that just using the new battery for a few months, then battery has the same issue with the red X and say you should consider replacing your battery.

An easy way is just to check your task manager or resource monitor in Windows, to see what programs might be running and using the most resources.

Task manager (ctrl + alt + del) is a good place to see if anything is constantly using CPU.

Yeah, processes would give you an overview of what might be eating up system resources.

You'd want to look at processes, since that shows what the system is using for each of those in terms of CPU, memory, etc... If you look there, then you could see what is running on the computer and using the most resources.

Yeah, that is the right page there. Might be worth checking periodically to see if there is something that is coming up and using a lot of resources, like if your Avast is running a lot higher numbers, then it is probably running a scan in the background and could eat up battery life. Could be worth while closing some tabs. Chrome uses a good amount of memory, but generally won't be a power hog on the battery too much though like that. But keep an eye on it and see if you have one program spiking up in the background with how much it is using up. Or go to the performance tab and check to see how much the CPU is being used.

I still get that red though in my battery. I don't get it all the time but it does show up. Does that mean my battery already got worn out?

Now my laptop battery always has that red x now. Recently when it was 80 percent after only a few minutes... it immediately dropped to 0 percent.

I'm wondering... could this be a laptop issue?

Heres another thing. I seem to have some weird screen thats purple, green and yellow colors as well on my laptop screen... like a TV with rainbow color on my laptop screen... how do i fix this issue.
