Hey guys, I need some help. I need a new battery for my Sager NP2090, and I've been looking around and they are usually anywhere from $100-$130. I can't spend this much. However, I found this site: http://www.jcbarn.com/2021319.html and it shows all the compatible laptops for that battery.

My question is, if I buy the Asus A9 battery (which looks to be compatible with the Sager NP2090) will it work? The Asus A9 battery is only $69.95. I'm looking at the 9-cell by the way.

    Thanks so much in advance.

There's no way to really guarantee that battery will work. Your safest bet would be to go ahead and purchase the more expensive battery, but if you go with the JC Barn option, make sure they have a good return policy.

I ordered a BATEL80L9 9 Cell battery on ebay for what amounted to $70 USD. When it arrived and I plugged it into the laptop...the power on the laptop just quit within 3 minutes of plugging in the battery to charge. It didn't crash the system...it just went black. I was lucky it didn't damage the notebook. And the vendor in Hong Kong just refunded the cost without my having to return it.
I'll be paying the $100 to know it the battery that'll work, and I'll pay more attention to how I maintain the battery life. Good luck! :)
