Hey guys, I am currently in the search for a good gaming notebook. I was looking at powernotebooks and xoticPC and I wanted some feedback on this configuration for the Sager NP2090. My questions are posted below the specs.

    Processor Intel® Core™2 Duo T7300 (2.0GHz) w/4M L2 On-die cache - 800MHz FSB
    Screen 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050)
Graphics Card nVidia GeForce 8600M GT w/512MB
    Hard Drive 160GB SATA/150 at 5,400 RPM
    Memory 2GB (2x1GB)
Warranty 3-Years Parts & Labor Lifetime 24/7 Tech Support

    1. How much better will the T7500 (2.2GHz) be than the T7300 (2.0GHz)? Is it worth the $100 to upgrade the processor?

    2. Is it better to get the 100GB @ 7,200 RPM instead of the 160GB @ 5,400 RPM? I know it will be much faster, but for the same price, I think 60GB more is the way to go. Please advise me.

    3. Will the warranty cover accidental damage.....meaning if I drop the laptop or something? If so, how will it work? If not, is there another place that does offer accidental damage for their notebooks? (Asus, Sager, or Compal)

    4. How good will the 8600M GT perform when running Crysis, Bioshock, and/or Haze? I know you don't know exactly, but generally speaking.

    1. Virtually unnoticeable...not worth the money IMHO.

    2. That is up to you. It depends on whether storage space or retrieval speed is more important to you.

    3. No. Be careful of ADP coverage provided by computer companies because it does not provide coverage for theft. Try www.safeware.com instead. It is true insurance that also covers theft and you only have to buy it annually...oh, and it is quite affordable. Their website lets you create your own quote.

    4. As well as anything out there in a 15.4" laptop, and better than most.

Thanks for the info. I will check out that site.

Another question I have is if there will be a laptop out by September-October that has either a 8700M GT or 8800M card inside of it for under $1800, at extreme $2000. I don't care about the size. I'm willing to get a 17" one as well.

I have to wait until that time period anyway, and am hoping that I can find what I am looking for by that time.

Nobody really knows what will be available in that price range at that time...but realistically your budget is probably a little low for that spec.
