I bought my Sager NP2090 last Christmas, and ever since, I've had 2 (fairly small) problems.

First problem is that whenever the battery is low and reaches 6%, the screen turns off, and I can't turn it back on. I have all my stuff running in the background, the screen has gone to sleep, and if I move my mouse then the screen doesn't turn back on. So I plug in the charger and the screen still remains asleep. Is there some command that I have to press to turn the screen back on after I plug in the charger? It's a bit annoying having to restart the computer, because sometimes I lose a bit of work.

The other thing is, whenever the batter reaches 10%, it starts making the most annoying beeping sound. I went on the battery options and couldn't find where I could turn it off from :/ It really suits me just to have the message pop up saying that the battery is low. It may be a stupid question but where do I turn this sound off from?

    Thanks :)

Did you try toggling the LCD using the hotkey?

the low battery warning should be able to be turned off in the bios. look for the "low battery warning" set it to disabled. as far as the screen going off there should be a option for that in power management and if not it may also be in the bios depending an whic bios it is.

    ^ Thanks for the replies.

I went in the advanced power settings and the computer was set to hibernate when the battery reaches 5%. I adjusted that to "sleep" to see if that makes any difference.

For the low battery sound, there was an option to disable notification of low battery, but I presume that it also means that the message in the system tray will no longer pop up on low battery, which is a bit annoying. I'll see what happens...

If you cannot turn off the beep without losing the visual, why not d/l and use a third-party battery monitor, such as, for example, Battery Monitoring - For Laptop 1.12?
