Hey all, recently I've been having problems with my games randomly locking up with a blue screen that says something to the extent of
nv4_disp has fallen into an infinite loop. The problem could be hardware or driver related.
My setup is:
XP Home sp3
NP2090
8600M gt 512mb version, driver = 171.16
When I first re-installed everything a few days ago, I installed 174.74 or something like that, but that had stability issues, it didn't give me the infinte loop error, it would just crash. When I installed 171.16, (which was stable for me last time I ran XP) I got this infinte loop problem, that does not seem to want to leave me alone.
Now I did take this computer with me to a robotics competition recently, but I doubt that could have physically damaged it, except from the vibrations of the bus.
Do you think this is a hardware problem or software?
Also, this may not be related but Crysis will not load anymore. The Crysis editor will, but not the game itself.

I think its the driver.may be you can boot to safe mode, uninstall driver and use the diver cleaner and try the stable driver.
