Hey guys,
So the charger for my NP2090 is dead...and so is my laptopI was wondering if anybody knew a replacement that works that isn't from Sager? I know the laptop has a rating of 19V (4.54A), and I have a spare Kensington adapter that's rated at 14-17V or 17-21V (color-coded selector-dependent), and I was wondering if that might work? The tip works for pretty much every brand, just wondering if anybody has used it.

Well, I'm happy to report that the Kensington 90W generic AC adapter works perfectly. After talking to XoticPC, apparently the NP2090 uses a generic AC adapter anyway since the notebook draws more power than what the original AC adapter could supply. From the looks of it, according to my Kensington kit, it's just an IBM/Lenovo AC adapter.
Anyway, hope this helps somebody in the future. No need to buy an overpriced adapter from Sager
Must say I am a bit dissapointed though, this is the second component that's failed on this guy in one year. -
good to hear, hope my AC adapter doesn't conk out. how much is the kensington one?

I got it for $80 at my university store - I've actually seen it online for both more and less incidentally.
