I'm looking at buying a notebook cooler and have read the guides on the NBR forums. Before I chuck 50 bucks into a new zalman nc-1000, are there any NP2090 users who have had a bad experience with that particular cooler? and if you dont own a zalman, which one are you using

    Bad experience? like what?
The zalman NC1000 is perfect for 15 inchers, as is the NC2000. For the price, it`s totally worth it.And recommended.

I've got the ZM-NC2000, and it's excellent. On idle, my CPU and GPU are down by ~5 degrees while my hard drive is down about 10 degrees. Under load (playing Crysis), neither the CPU or GPU ever reach 80 degrees (can be lower since I have to clean out the vents). I was intending on building my own cooler, but didn't get the time, and now I'm glad I didn't because I had underestimated the ability of the Zalman. It's an outstanding cooler, you can't go wrong with it.

^ Ditto that. I have the Zalman NC2000, and love it. Actually, I have TWO of them. One at home, one at my office, so I don't have to haul it with me!

not sure of the dimensions of the NP2090. But the Zalman NC2000 is 15.5 inches wide by 11.5 inches deep. The NC1000 is 13 inches wide by 11 inches deep.

EDIT: The Sager NP2090 is 14inches wide by 10inches deep. So, it should fit fine, just overhanging by 1/2inch on either side. That won't affect the performance of the cooler, though, as it has hundreds of holes across the entire surface of the base.
