Those should work, unless you already tried them and they don't.
EDIT: The softpedia link just worked for me a second ago. -

How's the quality of the image from the VGA plug?
-
Honestly, I've never really had an eye (or ear even) for quality. So yeah to me it's fine and I see no problem with it. However I don't have a DVI computer to compare it to.
-
If its a normal (less than 19" lcd) size, I have used both dvi and vga and with screens that size I cant tell any difference. Maybe if they were side to side, but does that really count? Larger (22"+) screens is where it matters, and where I wish we had hdmi, but I will live...

Ordered my Sager 2090, just got my call for confirmaion from Xotic this morning, CANT WAIT!!!!

can someone give me video or something that compares a non-hdtv display vs. a hdtv display? I've never seen an HDTV display...

I'm in the middle of nowhere lol.
-
umm ign trailers some are HD
-
um a movie at a movie theater is like hd??
-
Aren't computer screens HD? Or is it just that it's so small.
-
only computer screen that is HD is wuxga
-
WUXGA corresponds to 1080i or 1080p. But 720p if I'm not mistaken is 1280x800 or something like that which is a WXGA. So technically any widescreen resolution higher than that is "high definition".
-
Hmmm... This may sound like a stupid question, but to those who have their laptops, how do you record video and take still pictures with the built in webcam? I've read the manual and theres nothing in there about it
-
-
I havent read an awnser to this yet, so how does the screen stay down without a latch??? is it a magnet or does wait just heep it down?
-
this has already been answered by flippoet please go to this thread.

no problem. always glad to help

Just converted another person to the Sager side. He just ordered today.
I feel like a missionary.
-
you did tell him that hes in for a long wait...right?

The guy who made the first Spanish review video has now made the first English review video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7s9bXKwP1I Its actually a good review, I'm glad I found it.

http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/micro-express-ifl90/4505-3121_7-32495078.html
Well, looks like Cnet got a hold of one of the IFL90s. I've been checking this page about once a day now for the last week. Today I saw they posted pictures of a guy that looks like a Cnet editor/reviewer, hopefully they will have a video review of this lappy! *crosses fingers*
Looks like it is Dan Ackerman, Senior Editor. He does really good reviews. Seems kind of pointless for Cnet to get a hold of the IFL90 if they arn't going to write a detailed review or make a good video review. -
-
Thats good news mixxster...I want to see that notebook getting the credit it rightfully deserves..
-
So I heard second week of april shipping begins. What's with that?
That week long shipping is going to kill me if they don't ship till next week
Anyone heard any news about it? I was wondering how many orders powernotebooks had but I didn't get a reply in that regard.
-
nope. they were scheduled to ship from June 22nd.
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
Anyway, Sager does not publish how many orders they have, and since they do have several resellers it would not really matter how many PowerNotebooks.com had because they are all tossed into the Sager line. However Sager is hopeful that they can get all of the pre-orders filled by the end of July. -
Haha i just got converted to the Sager-side and ordered mine today and just recieved confirmation but waiting on estimated shipping date
im hoping its before august 13th???
-
Hopefully supply of the Sagers will be caught up by then, and I think it's looking pretty optimistic that you can get it before August 13th. If there's a third shipment soon, you'll probably be in it.
-
Shipping dates are still dependent on the specifics of the configuration.
-
Entered phase 2 (pre-order waiting) 2 days ago.
-
Well, I'm guessing the 22nd for the higher res screen as I have read so far on the forums (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm at work so not too much time to browse around). Probably 5 days to get from powernotebooks to the New England area with standard shipping I'd presume. Donald: How long does it normally take to turn all of the barebone computers in an order of this size into the right setups and send them out to people?
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
It is impossible for us to tell how many pre-orders Sager has for this model, or how many incoming shipments it will take to fill all the orders.
What I can tell you is that once they are in the warehouse it usually takes 2-3 days to get them all built and shipped...and then wait for the next shipment. -
So where does that put those ones that came in last week? They should be going out at this point, no? As I understood it, another batch of the WXGA was shipped to Sager yesterday too right?

I think Donald is telling us all he can at this time. If you were in his shoes and had a good deal of customers waiting on you, wouldn't you? Please stop asking when it's going to be shipped over and over . . . it gets tiring for all of us. Your notebook will be shipped at some point but for now just wait. Be happy you are getting any updates at all - when I ordered my Lenovo, I was but a number in their system and I didn't get any reliable information. One day I got a shipment notification and that was that.

This review looks AWESOME! I just wish it was in English.
Translated (not a great translation): http://www.tranexp.com:2000/InterTr...Compal-FL90.4123.0.html&text=&from=pol&to=eng
Edit: Hmm, the buttons and back of the lid are different.
Sorry for the double post, as I also posted this in the Compal forum. -
hey. I did a copy-paste translation on that thread of it. its not great but its better than that translation.

Hi I notice everybody purchasing this laptop is going with xoticpc/powernotebooks but how different are they from pctorque? I believe that company is priced almost $100 less?
-
O nvm I see that pricing in general has gone down... altho pctorque DOES come with free case and... what's with their opposite pricing on the RAM? lol 1SODIMM < 2 SODIMMS

The carrying bag comes with every Sager NP5790 so no worries there.
-
uhhh dude i meant the sager 2090 lol. O also I'm kind of worried about the border crossing (I'm from Canada). So I was wondering how XoticPc is for that kind of thing.. or if I'm better off getting the Dell 1520 to save on duties/taxes/brokerage
-
Charles P. Jefferies Lead Moderator Super Moderator
You could try asking other resellers if they include the bag. It may not be a 'plus' after all. The last Sager I got came with a bag.
Something you can consider is getting a Compal IFL90 (what the NP2090 is a branded version of if you didn't know). It may be available from a place like Milestone PC. -
I don't think milestone has the ifl90. Alot of canadians are stuck with the border thing.
-
Charles P. Jefferies Lead Moderator Super Moderator
If you are bent on buying the IFL90/NP2090 then definitely figure out what exactly is going to happen should you have to ship the laptop back over the border to get fixed. -
Looks like Gophn found a canadian reseller.
