I've had my Sager NP2090 for around 3 months now, love still.
However, it's a long time to notice a few issues I've had with my laptop.
One of the most premier issues is that the screen acts funky sometimes; when the screen goes to sleep (I set screen activity at 2 minutes before it auto-shuts off) and if I move my mouse or cursor, it wouldn't come on again. It's pretty annoying since the solution is to close the lid and open it again.![]()
Lately, however, sometimes the screen doesn't seem to turn on at all even when I open the lid. The screen would show up for a couple of seconds then it'll turn off. It doesn't do this while playing video, however, as it'll shut off and then come on again, and I can see the video. Other times, by sheer luck, it'll stay on again. This started happening after I installed the new Nvidia 169.01 drivers, but I don't know if that's the issue for sure.![]()
I doubt this is hardware-related, but probably some software crap that's telling my screen to shut off and be non-responsive and not turn on if I move my mouse or press some keys.
Anyone else getting this problem or is it just me?![]()

Are you using Vista?
-
Windows XP 32 bit.
-
Well the first thing to try is change back to your old driver or find another, then see if that fixes the problem
-
Using 64 bit Vista and the pre-installed drivers I have never experienced this problem. I sleep mine all the time and it responds instantly when I press a key (quickest response coming out of sleep I have ever experienced in fact).
I will be reformatting soon and installing Vista 64/Debian dual boot and hopefully will not run into this issue as it sounds quite annoying. -
Syntax Error, I have similar problem if my laptop went to sleep for a period of time, and my laptop won't wake up if I tried moving mouse, but it'll wake up when I press "ESC" key. My OS is Windows XP Pro SP2 with 169.01 driver previously, now 169.04 driver.
