    Sager NP2090 Screen Won't Turn On

    The screen won't turn on but Windows 7 loads normally. The startup sounds occur as well just the screen and backlighting are not working. Once windows loads you can detect its shared folders on the network and access and change them as well so the computer still boots.

    Also I have not done any video driver updates within the last 2 months or any BIOS updates.

    Any suggestions to the problem and a solution?

    Which graphics card do you have in your laptop?

    The card I have is the 8600GTM

    You video card is most likely dead. Go to the Compal forum and read about the ifl90 video problems. You can bake the card or replace it with an ati.
