    Hi,

I have a 4 year old Sager NP2090; while it isn't my primary laptop anymore it still works pretty well with one exception:

The battery only lasts for 30 minutes, even in power saver mode. The battery is labled "BATEL80L9" 11.1V 7200mAh.

My question: Do I need to replace the battery with this exact model or are better/longer lasting batteries available which would be compatible with my NP2090?

    Thanks in advance!

That model is older than the ones I'm familiar with, but judging on the placement of the battery compared to newer ones- it looks like you could find an extended life or third party battery. That said, I don't know of any and reliability with aftermarket batteries is always a shot in the dark. If possible, I'd contact whomever you bought the machine from originally to see if they can possibly get you a new battery.
