    Hey guys,
I've settled on buying a customized Sager NP2092 from xoticpc.com in the coming days. However, before I do, I have a few questions:
    1) What battery life can I expect out of this thing? 3.5+ hrs is what I heard with the Santa Rosa processors from Intel, but with the Pernyn 2.1 Ghz, is 4 hrs a stretch?

    2) Is the video memory GDDR2 or GDDR3? There seems to be no agreement...

    3) Is an extra battery worth it? I might be going to 6 hours of classes with no recharge time in between, so should I go 6-cell or 9-cell?

    4) Finally, should I go with 2.4 Ghz (T8300) or 2.1 Ghz (T8100) processors? Will there be a significant effect on battery life?

    2. DDR2
    3. I don't know of many people who go to class (with a laptop). Those who do are weird. Yeah, I said it.
    4. Toss a coin.

I have the 2090 and I get around 2 - 2.5 hours on the 'battey saver' mode when in class.(CompSci Masters program, so ya I guess I'm weird...kinda) I have the 9 cell battery and it sticks out the back but it's not annoying or anything. Also always get the most CPU clock that you can afford.

    1) it depends upon what task you are running.
    2) DDR2...there is no controversy about that.
    3) 9 cells if i understood you Q no 1.
    4) Personally i am getting T8100. I used the money to buy something nice for my self as they also have the same cache memory.

Sweet, thanks for the help! And I have no idea about classroom laptop etiquette, so thanks for the heads up!

I have a NP2092 with a T8300 4 gig ram. It has been great so far and extremely fast. I still get very good battery life with the T8300.
