Nice offer.
-
The 2092 is going to be competing with the 860TU so most definitely offers like this are bound to show up.
Pretty cool though. -
Shoooot, I just received my np2092 a couple days ago!
-
Ahhh, that's harsh, my 2092 shipped yesterday.
-
I really wish that I can get to this deal, Justin. lol
-
I was wondering how long this offer is going to last??? Really looking forward to picking one of these up. Just need to wait about two weeks so I can get the money. Will I have enough time to wait?

Congratulations on your first Compal/Sager laptop!

Who the heck wants a np2090 now with an update coming for it very soon AND the m860tu coming out to make it obsolete?

If your not into gaming the price of the 2092 might be worth it. Not sure if 45 bucks is worth it but it might. -

The 2092 and the new 860TU are in two different classes and made for two different types of users. -
The following was primarily in response to laptop size but the message applies here too:
I.e. you don't need the latest and greatest in graphics to enjoy a game. As I am wont to say: when a headcrab is jumping at me, I ain't waisting time admiring the antialiasing. Some people (like me) want the ability to play without sacrificing portability too much. It's a balancing act: I can easily conceive that some people would say that even 15" is too big. I realize here we're talking about same size laptops but then again price is also a consideration: how much money do you want to spend on gaming? Some people are happy with less. -
You can get a decked out 2092 for like 1400 USD and and the 860tu will probably around 1000 USD more than that. Going from an 8600 to an 8800, getting an hdmi/esata port, and having a new platform isn't worth 1000 USD to me. I will wait 2 years and grab one once I have access to wimax
-
Well you also get the 8800mgtx which is 3x the power of the 8600, also get the montevina platform, up to 3ghz extreme core processor, ddr3 ram
-
This brings up a good question... just how much graphics card choice will we have with the 860tu? Is it possible to get something like a 9600m GT, or is there going to be a different line to replace the 2092 series?
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
It is undetermined at this time what Graphics Cards will be available on the 860TU. This will all be released on Tuesday. The 9600 will not be a option for the 860TU.
There is going to be a replacement model to the 2092 released next Tuesday.
-
Oh, that's actually great news. Segmenting the two lines will ensure people get the right price and features. Thanks for the quick reply. I can't wait to see the info. I'm hoping for a decent 860tu config that lands solidly under 2k, but we'll see
Oh, and while I've got you answering questions, what are the chances of xoticpc offering the new OCZ SSD's (the core series) on these new models? -

At this time there is no information on the availability of SSD Drives.
