The touchpad on my Sager NP2092 is pretty flaky. It tends to get really hot, and then when I use it it flip flops between extremely sensitive and unresponsive. (Not sure if the heat is what causes the issue.) Just trying to navigate a web page, I'll be trying like hell to get the mouse to move, then before I know it I've clicked 9 links, highlighted the entire page and scrolled all the way to the bottom.
I've gotten used to it I suppose. I just try to be extremely careful while using the mouse and plug an external one in when I'm at a desk or table. I just can't fly around and control it like I want to. My girlfriend gets even more upset than I do because her MacBook Pro's touchpad always operates smooth like butter.
Anyone else with a similar experience? I know I wasn't buying into top of the line quality components with a Sager, so I'm not really complaining. Just wondering if anyone else out there has something to say. Is it possible to upgrade the touchpad myself?

If it's hot to the touch, then the heat is more likely than not causing it to act flakey. Have you cleaned the thing out properly? Failure to clean is typically the cause of most heating problems. If the heat's not causing it, then it may be a loose connection - when you open it up to clean it out, you should double-check on the connections and look for loose/missing screws as well.
