This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Sager NP2096 (Compal JHL90) bad factory windows install?

    Just got my NP2096 from xoticpc and this is what I get when I turn it on:

    Windows could not parse or process unattended answer file
    [C:\\Windows\Panther\unattend.xml]. The answer file is invalid.

    This is Windows Vista.

    It shows the Windows loading boot screen, but then restarts and goes back to the above error.

    Ok so, no idea. Steps to fix? Reinstall (pain in my ***)?

    Pretty mad actually. About to toss the laptop out my window and then ask for my money back from xoticpc.
