    Laptop is sager np2740.

    i7-4770HQ

    8GB RAM

    Samsung 850 Evo Series 250GB

    Intel® Iris™ Pro Graphics 5200

    Intel Dual Band AC7260

When i first got the laptop many months ago, it was pretty fast. Battery was pretty good as well not charged. Now... not only is the battery much worst, sometimes i see it would go from say 15% ... then few minutes later my laptop would shut off completely. This never happened before because 15% still would be 30 minutes or so left. Then i have the you have 10% and then 7% battery left so I then go and charge it quickly.

Not only that, but now it never shows how many hours are remaining whether charged or uncharged. It would show back then say 80% and say 3 hours remaining etc. Even when its 20% battery, it would show 40 minute left. Now it doesn't show any minutes left and the battery wears out very quickly.

Can someone tell me what i can do to check if anything? Also i never removed my laptop from the sager np 2740 because you need a screwdriver to remove it unlike my other laptops which you can just take the old battery out.

The only thing i can say is back when i got the laptop, i didnt play poker at all but since i been playing again, i been using it heavily with lot of programs.

I got this laptop mainly b/c its 14.1 and very fast i7 quad core. And not only do i have battery problems... the laptop now is much much slower than when i first got it. I had posted 2 logs of it earlier in my other thread but i didnt get reply back. I like to know however why my battery is like this now.

    Got it from xoticpc.

    Hi !
First, about your battery, you can use Battery info view( or battery bar), it can give you precises information about how much you battery is worn.
About the time, i don't recall that Clevo made notebook with timers, but also, you can use Battery Bar to see it.
but, i guess it's not normal that it disappeared, i think the chip on your battery is dead, explaining why you get poor running time.
About performance decay : first, check you power plan :) , if it's not that, check on the task manager if their are abnormal consumption of RAM/CPU, in windows 8, you can also check frequencies on task manager, see if you effectively go to your maximum turbo speed ( or approach it ^^)

    Hope it helps

My family and I are all big poker players online and I can speak from experience that most of those apps are garbage and lead to being laden with spyware/misc programs that you don't need. I'm a fan of running spybot once every few months to get the obvious stuff off there that isn't needed and then run through the uninstall program list to see if there are any applications you don't recognize. A quick google search of the application will tell you what it does and you can determine if you can uninstall it or not. Also go through your startup list in task manager and do the same googling. You can disable a lot of startup applications which will lead to quicker boots and a more responsive system.

I do use spybot. However im not sure where to go with this issue. Again i have lot of startup apps but no clue which is needed and which isn't.

Also how does this affect the battery though?

Could very easily affect battery life as well as they'll make the computer do more than it really needs to. If you aren't comfortable determining this it might be your best bet to contact a local shop and get it cleaned up. You can also contact our service team having bought it through us and ask that they quote you for sending it in to do so for you ourselves.
