    I am thinking about buying a Sager NP3130 / Clevo N130BU and it has a 13.3" QHD 3200*1800 (16:9) display.

    How does this display look?

Is it easy to read or is it to small to use for email. I am buying this for use when I travel and would only be using it for email and to surf the net. My current laptop has a 1920*1080 15.6" screen and for email and surfing the web it is fine.

I am looking at this laptop because if weights less than 3 lbs.

For one thing, I haven't yet been able to determine if this is a true 3200x1800 or a PenTile (RG/BW) not-true-3200x1800. I'm inclined to think it's the latter, due to Clevo / most resellers' poor track record with honest display marketing as of late.

PenTile (RG/BW) replaces the RGB in each pixel with either only RG or only BW. This means you get all the risk for content scaling issues as the resolution, without the full sharpness of the resolution to 'make up for it'. Use of such screens in the absence of full disclosure is often regarded to be a deceptive marketing practice.

I would contact customer service and ask for the LCD model number. If it's a Sharp panel, it'll be the real deal. If it's a Samsung or LG, most likely not. Once you determine that, the Sharp panel will look like a matte version of the one in the XPS 13, the others will look like the ones in the Zenbooks and Envy 13.

Everything looks incredibly sharp on that display however most applications don't scale correctly .
Edit : For web browsing and email , it's fine though...
I had to create a custom resolution (1440x810) via Intel graphic control panel and use that resolution everytime I work
    My laptop is Clevo W230SS
