Well, i think the title says everything but i will write few more, i am from Egypt and i am coming to Egypt the end of this week, and i want to buy a good gaming laptop, and this model tops all of the other brands on specs.

I found it on Sager original website, Xoticpc, Pro-star and also hidevolution.
But since i am not from US, i have no deals with any of these re sellers what so ever, never tried online stores before, always like to see what i am buying and i did NOT knew Sager brand before 2 or 3 days, so i am a little worried here, i don't know the sellers, the brand, the technique of the selling, the country return policy or what i have to do to return the laptop if its not what i was looking for or it was defected.

    The specs i want is

While Xotic and prostar offer the same specs with only $3,194.00.. hidevolution offer the same specs for $3,544.00 !!

Add the $200 or $250 for the 120HZ monitor from hidevolution, its is pricey compared if it did it myself for like $100 include shipping from laptopscreen, but i think it is out of stock anyway :/

So is hidevolution prices because they are the ONLY ones with the 120HZ ??

So is there ANY option to get the 120HZ monitor because i REALLY want a good gaming laptop, and i cannot take any external monitors with me through the airport in any way, and i will lose it.

Which is the best store for returns and customer support, i've been speaking with sales person from Xoticpc and they seems to be legit sellers, but some few people had horrible experience with them, but most of the reviews are in favor of Xotic.
*prostar is fairly low on reviews and reputation, but i think they are popular here and some members said they are legit buyers, but i cannot see any upsides to chose it over Xotic, because Xotic offer paint and wrapping and cool stuff to do over the road, while prostar not, with the same price tag :/
*hidevolution is over priced compared to the other two resellers, however they offer the 120HZ and arabic keyboard, not sure if it is QWERTY or the weird azerty keyboard which i will not pick :(

Can you please help me, it is like i am newbie here,i am a computer engineer btw, and i know technical and engineering level of technology, but i do not deal with laptops at all, and i do not own one, desktop gamer all the way, never used SSD before and i have no idea which RAID to chose, so if anyone have any tips or something to say, be my guest ;)

I will need 120~250 SSD for only the OS and the programs, 1TB 7200rpm for the games, and 2 TB 5400rpm for storage, like movies and music and work files.

That is all people, please help me and treat me like someone who is buying online for the first time, because it IS my first time for real, so thanks in advance guys ;)

So i contacted hidevolution for the 120hz monitor and the replay was they can match the price for other resellers which is good, but then they said via email "

So it is clear that their price is a little higher than the other choices its like $344, so do you think its worth it ??, and keep in mind that i will pay another $200 for the monitor, so its like $544 for the monitor !!!

I think i may just buy the laptop with the 120HZ monitor and buy the extra stuff from ebay or something but i do NOT trust them tho, and i wont be in US for awhile i do NOT want to miss the shipping :/

Eurocom is the best reseller in my opinion, they still have 120 Hz panels. I would recommend a glossy panel over a matte panel though, the colors look much better.

First thanks so much for the replay and thanks for mention that new reseller, i didnt knew about them they are better choice than " hidevolution " for the base price tag for $266 difference than hidevolution $344 difference, but they even it up with the monster price for the screens itself, the hidevolution screen is $200~$250, but eurocom is $273~$295 which makes no difference when adding things up :/

I guess the sellers with the 120hZ is charging like $550 extra for the monitor, because i've added the extra HDD and stuff, they are better because i can chose the bigfoot killer chip too, but i do not think it is worth the money, if i got the monitor i'll have to remove the extra HDD, and the few things out of the system, i REALLY want the 120hz tho :/, i dont know what to do anymore to be honest :|

Actually, the difference is $230-249 (CAN $300-$325). Shop smart, shop Canadian :vbwink: !

They surcharge you ~18% when ordering non-Candian. Configure in CAN$ and calculate exchange rate minus ~2-3% (since cc company or PayPal surcharge too, of course ...). So, basically; bit-for-bit identical US$ configuration is 15%-off in CAN$. Credit card is slightly preferable to PayPal, when considering exchange rates, anyway.

Now, $230-249 is still ... they're about $100, so ... There's a few caveats; you'd need a 50-pin cable to match (won't be included), don't mind a bit of DIY and it's possible you'll receive a matte instead of glossy (or vice versa), unless you ask specifically for one or the other. Main thing it the cable, though, expect ~$40 (ask reseller).

Well, first thanks for replay, second i have no idea what are you talking about :D
I think you are saying order from Canada based websites, or the website as i am from Canada, or Canadian dollars, well something from the things i said, i find it hard to understand because English is not my native and i am doing my best to understand, but i cannot really fully understand what you said clear.

However Eurocom has offered me 10% off my final price but for this week only or somthing, i think that will even things up, also they have student 10% off so i can have the 10% anyway.

I can do it myself, but i dont have any tools, since i am coming from Egypt to the US, and getting tools will be like " daym he is gonna build a bomb :D ", and i hate low intelligence people who would assume something bad, so i'll have to buy new tools and stuff, and also i might scratch my new laptop, which will break my heart, my little heart :O :(

So do you think after the 10% discount is it fair amount to go for it, also that would mean the monitor and the laptop fully under warranty which is good IMO ;)

Thanks again for the replay :)

    Same configuration:

In other words; for the same hardware you pay either US$1726 or US$1448, depending on the currency you order it in. The 10% discount would apply to both.

    edit:
Maybe it's because they're only ~9km from Quebec ... chauvinistic auras are blind to borders, after all. It neatly explains their 'love' for the US dollar; they want more of those, to ease the pain of accepting them ... or however that works.

This is sick man, i dont know how to thank you, my original build was about 3907 USD, and after the 10% about 3516 USD
but with the Canadian dollars it is 4298 CAD which means 3276 USD, and after 10% it is ONLY 3868 CAD and about 2949 USD !!!

I mean what ? :O, so i am not sure which payment option should i chose, but i think i will left about 5% for fees and ****ty stuff right ??, so only discount about 5% only from the CAD price and i should be fine right ??, if so i can get better specs now, because i wanted another extra HDD and maybe more SDD's and maybe a better CPU :O

While i am at it, do you think the I7-4940MX worth the difference between it and the I7-4910MQ, seems like i can afford the upgrade now, but i dont think i need it that much, however i am doing some video editing and i own the I7-4770K at my desktop and not high OC, but just a little over 4Ghz to make things smooth, what you think sir, and thanks again for that amazing tip :)

I tried to place order, but the shipping with CAD is only for canada, while i am on pittsburgh pennsylvania, which option should i chose, or shall i contact them to sort things out ?

Reseller is always more expensive than buying and upgrading yourself: upgrade 4710MQ to 4940MX is +$766. Yet the 4940MX is $658 aftermarket (or $605 for an ES), so that's $108 less and you get a 4710MQ for free.

For shipping; yes, ask them. If they refuse then use a forwarding service. The one-time fee is $50 + shipping cost Montreal -> Pittsburgh. Of course, you only need to do this once; any RMA or such can be done with direct shipping.

They will probably refuse, but the price is right, i will try it as soon as i arrive at USA, will ask my sister, because she is living there, and will tell her what to do and ask for info and such, thanks so much buddy, you saved me alot of money :)

and about the CPU, i'll look into it, can you recommend to me good thermal paste for the CPU, they are using the IC diamond, but many people saying they damage the component itself scratch and even damage the IHS back with shown marks :/

Well so far you've been amazing with your tips buddy, thanks so much and i want to know if you know any reseller is offering HDD's with 2TB or more for the laptop, i really need to stack up 2 or something, again thanks :)

Yes, the Spinpoint M9T is it. The only 9.5mm, even ...
IC Diamond is fine, scratches or no scratches (doesn't really matter). But if you want to keep the mirror-finish; good alternative is Gelid's GC-Extreme or Liquid Ultra (careful with that last one). The difference between the three is minimal and Gelid's very forgiving, only harder to apply; somewhat viscous consistency.

When ordering in a different currency, this is the preferable order:
    1. Bank transfer
    2. Credit card
    3. PayPal
They all charge you above standard rates, but your own bank's probably only ~1% off. PayPal is positively the worst, at some %3.

Thanks so much "t456", i will look into it, i called them and they said they cannot bill me with CAD if i do NOT have a Canadian address, so i think i will use your method for the shipping with the Canadian address, i will make a research about the method.

I think i will get the lowest specs from Eurocom and stack the laptop with the best CPU, RAMs,HDDs and an SSD for low prices, if i even got the laptop with USD and got the other parts and built it myself, it is still a better choice than buying it from Eurocom or any other company.

The real question is what i will do with the spare CPU and ram and SSD, and which SSD should i get, i might get an 1TB to put the games on it, i think its overkill and not needed in games, but its almost the same price if i got the 250GB samsung SSD EVO from them, so i need to know which SSD should i get and should i stack the SSD from the laptop with the one i will get, or just remove the one on the laptop and install the new one instead to avoid any problems ???

Thanks so much t456 again, and thanks Bullrun for the links.

EDIT: one more thing guys, where should i buy windows keys, i am already using all of keys with my PC's and i need new one for the laptop, is there anywhere cheaper than the 90 for Windows 8.1 64bit, not pro ??

My first choice for 1TB size class SSD is the 960GB SanDisk Extreme Pro for the OS. If it's just secondary storage, I'd probably get a cheaper Crucial BX100 or Samsung 850 EVO. The same two vendors above plus B&H
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?N=11059853&InitialSearch=yes&sts=pi

Two mSATA slots are also available. The only choice for 1TB size class is the EVO.

If you have to select RAM and HDD with the build, choose the cheapest configuration. Certainly, ask if they will send it without those.
