    Hello,
I'm having an issue with my laptop. It's a Sager NP4650, as the topic says. Whenever I open or close it, the right side of the laptop basically pops open where the hinge is. Opening or closing the laptop seems to pry the keyboard from the disc reader. If it pops open forcefully enough, the laptop shuts down. I have no idea how this break occurred. I closed and left my laptop around 6:00pm today, and when I came back at 11:00pm it was suddenly doing this. For now I can just hold my thumb on the upper right corner of the keyboard to stop it from popping open, but I would like a long term fix. I already emailed my supplier to ask for advice or set up a repair but I figured I should ask here in case anyone else has had and fixed this problem. I wasn't able to find another thread about this, though. I included two pictures of what it looks like. Sorry if the quality is bad, as I don't have the best camera or lighting. Thanks.

Sending it in will probably be your best idea. As long as it was not caused by dropping it etc it should be covered if you're still within your warranty time.

It wasn't caused by dropping, but I am outside warranty... I should be able to pay for repairs though. I'll wait for a response to my email to send it in. Thanks.

It sounds like one or more screw housings/standoffs that secure part of the case are broken. Should that actually be the source of the issue here, you'll need to have the portion of the case with the broken standoff replaced, unless you can find a way to re-affix them/repair them.

The casing shouldn't be very expensive. The shipping cost added to it, as well as any possible labor fee, will add up quick, though.

    Best of luck, Bloxachu!

I'll take a look inside later and see if it just came detached somehow. If it's broken I'll send it in. Thanks for the advice.
