Anybody heard anything about a possibility that Sager might
put together something like an NP5320 notebook but instead of the Centrino processor with the Turion chip??
Well I hope it will happen.

It's called an Acer Ferrari 4005...
That has the exact specifications you want. -
From what I have read this is probably not going to happen - there hasn't been any mention of such a thing at least to the resellers.

If it ever exists (in a Sager), it would appear here.

But as I said, what's wrong with the Ferrari? It's the same thing and it's much lighter too! -

Yeah, if you want to get a Turion laptop, the Ferrari is it!
You could also look at the MSI-1029. That's a nice laptop for the money. 128MB X700 is nice too -
The MSI-1029 is a great buy for what you get, BUT there are a few down sides to it. First of all, the screen is not up to par with the Ferrari screen. The Ferrari screen is better quality and has a higher resolution. Also, I have checked out the MSI and the battery life is barely 3 hours (even with the lower voltage MT Turion chip). My Ferrari consistently gets 3:45 hours at 65% brightness, undervolted to 4X-0.925V/10X-1.250V, and WiFi on. I have talked to a few MSI owners and they have said that they are lucky to get 3.5 hours with WiFi off, screen brightness to lowest setting, and undervolted as low as the CPU would allow. I am very happy with my Ferrari and if you have the money it is well worth it. If you are looking for a budget power notebook take a look at the MSI.
P.S. Sagers are overpriced and really not that well built. You would be better off looking at the likes of ASUS, MSI, Acer, or even Quanta notebooks. Have fun! -
Sagers are the least overpriced of the Clevo-based laptops. I would direct that statement towards *cough* AW and crew. They might not be up to snuff in build quality compared to Dell and the rest, but they also offer substantial features that nobody else has, so that's the risk involved.

Thank you for the answer.
Yes I looked into the Acer Ferrari and indeed a fine notebook.
My question: is it possible to buy a second ac adapter and second battery pack to this notebook?
I also checked out the MSI-1029.
Unfortunately they still have issues with the BIOS concerning dual RAM usage.
So I stuck right in the middle. -

The Ferrari 4000 has better build quality and looks.
Dual-channel RAM is not avaliable on Turion notebooks - that only comes with AMD S939 based computers (mostly desktops). The Turion is S754.
Sure, it is possible to get a spare AC adapter and battery pack. You can get them off Acer's site, or some other sites that sell laptop parts. -
I wish the Ferrari would have been in my price range when I was buying a laptop, because it pretty much had the perfect specifications for me. Alas, it was about $400 more than I could afford, so I settled on my Asus.

Well you certainly didn't make a bad decision pyro - Asus makes an excellent laptop.
Yeah, the Ferrari is a bit expensive at 2k, but for what you get it's not a bad price.
Sager NP5320 with AMD Turion??
